I am the former professor of guitar at Syracuse University in upstate New York.
I teach all styles of guitar including rock, folk, classical and jazz. From Green Day to Django Reinhardt and Neil Young, From improvising bluegrass to interpreting J.S. Bach.
I help students learn, play and enjoy.
Each private lesson is 30 or 45 minutes in my beautifull music studio located in the Alemeda neighborhood of Portland, less than two minutes from Broadway and US 84
My teaching approach encompasses reading music as well as playing by ear. I welcome those who want to write their own songs, learn chords to favorite songs they want to sing, or refine technique. Whatever your goal, I help students get there and have fun on the way.
